Today Inter host Empoli and Milan’s hopes could be dashed by Roberto Donadoni’s Bologna, then it’s Roma-Chievo, Verona-Juventus, Torino-Napoli and the Genoa Derby.

The action begins today at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT) at San Siro when Inter welcome Riccardo Saponara’s Empoli.

This evening Milan gamble their last chips for a Europa League spot with the trip to Bologna, something of an audition for Donadoni.

On Sunday the early kick-off sees Roma continue the push for second place against impressive Chievo.

The Derby della Lanterna takes centre-stage at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT) along with Fiorentina-Palermo, Carpi-Lazio, Frosinone-Sassuolo and Atalanta-Udinese.

The round concludes with a double evening appointment, as Verona wave goodbye to Luca Toni against Champions of Italy Juventus and Napoli must win at high-flying Torino to retain second.
