Raphael Varane’s unhappiness at Real Madrid puts Manchester United on red alert

RAPHAEL Varane may be out of favour at Real Madrid and Manchester United are keen to offer the defender an escape route.
And Old Trafford could be a perfect move for the French international centre-back if Jose Mourinho does becomes boss.
The 23-year-old, who United legend Paul Scholes revealed in March he wants to see at his old club, was a firm favourite during Mourinho’s reign at Los Blancos.

While Varane has featured regularly in La Liga this season, playing 25 games, he’s been dropped to the bench for the past four Champions League matches, with boss Zinedine Zidane favouring Pepe.And according to French publication Le10Sport, being a substitute has left him unhappy and considering a summer move away from the Bernabeu.

Varane could be looking for a fresh challenge away from the Bernabeu Times Newspapers Ltd

The report claims Varane’s relationship with the club was already on the rocks before he spent the two semi-final games with Manchester City on the bench.
Bayern Munich have already reportedly made an approach to Real for Varane but if Mourinho does get the job at the Red Devils, that could put them in pole postion.
