Pedro becomes the latest masked man in Chelsea's 'Zorro team'

Pedro became the latest Chelsea player to wear a protective face mask in their away fixture against Liverpool on Wednesday.

The former Barcelona winger broke his nose in a household incident earlier in the week and took to the field at Anfield with a protective mask that's become familiar for Chelsea supporters in recent times.

In February, Diego Costa broke his nose in a training ground incident and joined Cesar Azpilicueta, who was suffering with a fractured cheekbone, in wearing a mask in the 5-1 win over Newcastle

"We are a team with a lot of masks," joked manager Guus Hiddink at the time. "We are a Zorro team!"

Indeed, Pedro, Costa and Azpilicueta are not the only Chelsea players to have worn masks this season, with Nemanja Matic and Gary Cahill also sustaining facial injuries earlier in the campaign.
